Night of the Sun

What is it?

“Night of the Sun is a one-night event in Brooklyn. Duefunk of New York intertwines with Miami natives, Diivories and Bed Scene. Expect to groove with jams by Duefunk, vibe with eclectic sounds by Diivories, and experience lo-fi indie new wave from Bed Scene.” DJ Ordaz will also be performing. This is a 21 and over show.

HOY 6 Year Anniversary Party

What is it?

Celebrate House of Yes’s sixth birthday! Dress up in a creative costume. This 21+ event includes performance art magic, happy birthdays all night long, games, massages, circus spectacles and more.

Mulchfest

What is it?

Hosted by the NYC Parks Department and NYC Sanitation, bring your tree to a chipping site on Chipping Weekend to take home a tree-mento. Your tree will be chipped and you will receive a bag of mulch to use in your backyard or to make a winter bed for a street tree. Mulchfest is also looking for volunteers for Chipping Weekend at Maria Hernandez Park. Learn more here.

Ridgewood Reservoir Volunteer Landscaping

What is it?

Help NYC H20 and the NYC Parks Department by assisting with removal of invasive plants from the path around the Ridgewood Reservoir. Gloves, tools and hand warmers will be provided.

Wednesday, January 12

Mayday Space Volunteer Orientation

What is it?

Join Mayday Space at its virtual volunteer orientation to learn more about how you can get involved with projects at Mayday Space. Learn more about Mayday Space and its volunteering opportunities here.

Volunteer orientation at 6 p.m. and the monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
