Going out to Feel The Bern gave Brooklyn chills in more way than one on Friday: on one hand, the brisk breeze blowing off the East River at Sanders’ Greenpoint rally was enough to make the crowds shiver, and on the other hand, the stirring talk of political revolution and the call for transformational change of a rigged American political system and unjust economy was likewise cause for goosebumps.

Thousands of Brooklynites withstood the afternoon’s chilly weather to attend the impromptu rally at Transmitter Park on the Greenpoint waterfront. Sanders, in a black overcoat with his iconic white frizz upgraded to ultra-frizz mode, delivered a spright and uplifting speech for the large crowd. It all felt quite presidential! Here are our photos: enjoy!
