Message from Arts in Bushwick:

Studio Visit during BOS 2014

Bushwick Open Studios is upon us! The weekend kicks off tonight at Be Electric for the annual Seeking Space Exhibition and Launch Party. Take in the official open call exhibition of AiB with a cold drink in hand and don’t forget to get a snap with the BOSCO‘s digital photo booth! Check out weekend studio listings here and stay in the loop with Arts in Bushwick on Instagram and Twitter! In case you are already overwhelmed by the slew of events set to take place, the AiB Blog is here to fill you in on the latest arts and culture stories to get you in the mood!

The last BOS registration mixer took place at Sunrise/Sunset. Read up on artists Doyoung Choe, Marzia Gamba, Julie Mardin, and Fia Matsson for a taste of what to expect this weekend.

Circumstantial Evidence, a curatorial open call by Arts in Bushwick, IDIO Gallery, and Flavorpill opened last night. Read about the exhibit here and stop by over the weekend to see the work in person.

Wondering what to do after tonight’s Launch Party winds down? Look no further than the Purgatory & Paradise Party at Bizarre Bar celebrating the launch of Meryl Meisler’s book, Sassy ’70s Suburbia & The City, reviewed here.

But don’t go toooo hard, there are two more days to survive after all! We hope to see you bright and early in Maria Hernandez Park for Community Day on Saturday and then at the Bushwick Community Darkroom (newly located at 110 Troutman St) on Sunday evening for CinemaSunday and the Closing Party, a chance to wind-down, regroup, and drink another cold one. Happy #BOS2015!
