Rivergazer‘s got this chill jangle folk rock sound going on that’s a purrfect match for this blogger’s Thursday evening. It’s their LP release party so show some love!
#9 Dead Gaze @ South Street Seaport (FRI 8pm, $FREE)
Mississippi’s Dead Gaze will awaken the ghosties you keep inside with their sludge-tinged alternative rock roar. Best of all, it’s free, it’s at sunset, and you can watch the pirate ships go by.

So the new age yoga and party venue Body Actualized just announced their weekly dance vibe party. This week Booty Actualized kicks of bodaciously with Golden Donna, Octa Octa, Sweet William, and Fast Times (DJ Set).

In the US we think spunk is that little bit of quirk that makes you a funky and special person. In the UK, spunk is a synonym for jizz. We’re not sure which they are referring to but it’s going to be a good night– according to them “a magical escapade into a realm of debauchery, a picnic for degenerates.” COOL.

Ummm you know this show has got it going on. Don’t be fooled by the new stage name– expect Kitty Pryde in full force with other awkward girl rapper Awkwafina werking out “her vag” issues. TIGHT!

Hell yeah, The Afropunk Festival is back! Though it can be a mob scene it’s totally worth braving the sun and crowds to enjoy the unique flavor that this free festival offers.
