Bushwick Art Crit Group has big plans for bringing the work of local artists right into your homes—and they are already taking them on full-force, starting with a BACG artist exhibition this week! Emerging art collectors, this is your opportunity to pick up stimulating new works from the thriving community of Bushwick-based creatives.

In preparation of an exciting new venture the group will host #MutualBenefit, an exhibition of BACG presenters inside the gallery of Brooklyn Fireproof East on Thursday, May 1st from 7 – 9:30 pm. This will be a special one night exhibition with all pieces priced affordably and ranging from sculpture to photography and painting to artist-made zines. A preview of the works can be seen here.

What is this new venture all about? Well, during the April critique session Christopher Stout made two important announcements: #1. BACG is officially a not-for-profit arts organization and is now a supported project of Fractured Atlas, #2. BACG plans to launch an online artist film library of videos from past artist critiques. Filming for the BACG Artist Film Library intends to begin in June 2014 and will include “rewind nights” where previous presenters will be invited back to share their work in front of a studio audience.

This dynamic group show will be up for one night on Thursday, May 1st from 7-9:30 pm inside the Brooklyn Fireproof East gallery, 119 Ingraham Street.
