David: “Hush” by Afroman

So they say you can tell a lot about a person by the type of shoes they wear — well, the same goes for karaoke songs. We all know you’ve had the night; it’s a Sunday half past nine and you’ve found yourself at your local dive bar because you’re the only one that hasn’t been buzzing with the “Breaking Bad” blight. You’re minding your own business playing Prize Farm when all of the sudden you see that random roommate you met on Craigslist in 2009 rip the mic out of some chick’s hand to deliver us an epic performance of “Closing Time.” It’s still only half past nine and the disco ball is shining down on this champ’s button-up sky blue Uniqlo shirt, sweat rings smoothly forming, and you can only think: “Where is that beefy book of forgotten 90’s jams?” It’s your turn to take it to the town, pickle shot in hand, and deliver the most epic (or terrible) killer karaoke anthem of all time. We made our way around Bushwick to get the not-so-secret karaoke favorites of local passersby and to see what kind of jams make their inner star come out.
