The man wanted for breaking into a Bushwick woman’s home and raping her as she slept has been arrested and charged, police say.

Jason Lazery, 38, turned himself in around 9 p.m. Wednesday, the same day police released security camera footage of a suspect wanted in connection with raping a 24-year-old woman, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.

Lazery was arraigned in Brooklyn criminal court Thursday on charges of rape, burglary and sexual abuse. Police say the suspect has 13 prior arrests but none are for sexual offenses.

Lazery allegedly broke into the woman’s home near Halsey Street and Central Avenue on Sunday while she was sleeping in her bed and raped her. The woman managed to fight off the attacker after the assault and called 911 after he had escaped, said police.

He is facing charges of first degree rape and burglary and is being held on $10,000 bail, according to the Brooklyn DA’s Office.
