106 Firefighters Battled a Bushwick Fire of an Unknown Cause
The building at 189 Moffat St. went ablaze yesterday afternoon.
A peaceful, relatively warm winter afternoon turned hellish for the residents and neighbors of 189 Moffat St. in Bushwick as the building went ablaze.
Yesterday, on Wednesday, at 3:12 p.m. FDNY responded to an emergency call regarding a fire at the top floor of a two-story, row-frame house. According to FDNY spokesperson, the firefighters arrived at the scene minutes later and at 3:21 p.m. the fire reached the second alarm level with the extensions to its neighboring buildings, one of which is a vacant building.
25 fire trucks and 106 firefighters worked to gain control over the fire, at which they succeeded at 3:57 p.m.
According to FDNY there were no injuries reported.
