It’s a fact: Bushwick doesn’t have much when it comes to high-quality grocery stores. There are certainly enough tofu-slinging, juice-making health food stores in this fair neighborhood, but there are few options when it comes to stocking up on grass-fed meats, artisan cheeses, and local beer. That’s about to change.

A gourmet grocery store is slated to open Friday Nov. 13 at 215 Knickerbocker Ave., where the former Constanza Grocery used to be. It’s called Foster Sundry, and the brains behind this operation is Aaron Foster, a former employee of The Brooklyn Kitchen and Murray’s Cheese.

The shop will have a whole animal butcher, cheese counter, and a array of top notch products. According to Grub Street, they’ll be carrying “grass-fed meat from Slope Farms, American hams from La Quercia and Edwards Virginia Smokehouse, local beer by the growler, bean-to-bar chocolates, BjornQorn’s sun-popped vegan popcorn, Martin’s potato rolls, and She Wolf Bakery bread.”

The shop will also serve coffee and have limited seating, with plans to have local beers on tap for the nighttime crowd. You can see the mockup of the coffee bar below.
