Very few things are more important than making Bushwick a safer neighborhood. And so NYPD has requested any information about the incident that occurred this past Friday, June 12 on Starr St (corner Irving Ave) at 12:40AM.

A 36-year old women was walking on the street when “the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her by the waist. The suspect then threw the victim onto the ground where he sexually assaulted her with his hand. The victim physically resisted and screamed for help.”

A neighbor called from his window, which, “prompt[ed] the suspect to flee the location before he was able to rape her.”

His victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital, where she was evaluated and later released, officials said.

The NYPD has released a footage from security camera. The suspect was wearing a “wife beater” and blue jeans.
