Cooper-Hewitt Museum is Not in Bushwick. But That's OK, Sorta.

On December 12, 2014 Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum re-opened to the public after a three-year, $91 million renovation of its home, the Carnegie Mansion. And as much as we dig this Upper East Side mansion (located on 2 East 91st Street, New York), it is no Bushwick. And so notes their advertising campaign:

"Converted factory spaces are great, but we're pretty stoked about our converted 51,163-square-foot Georgian revival mansion. New York's Design Museum is now open to on the Upper East Side. Which is not in Bushwick."

All we want to say is that we're endeared and charmed, and despite this flaw of a location, we're considering a visit. When the L train is be running as it should, for once.
