Serious Eats wants to know: What’s your favorite Mexican food in Bushwick?

The Martians are coming: Jared Polacek over at Hyperallergic takes a first look at Life On Mars, a new gallery at 56 Bogart that’s going to open on October 4th.

Stephen Miller at Streetsblog reports that Bushwick may be getting a pedestrian island to calm traffic (although no word on where our CitiBikes are).

Joyce Chen at Buzz Buzz Home reports that Read Properties, the developers of the Rheingold Brewery site who have been all over local news lately, have launched the teaser site for Colony 1209, another luxury apartment building that will feature a ’20s-inspired rec space with an indoor bocce court and a vintage pinball machine.

Good news for carnivores: Bowery Boogie is reporting that Tiberio Custom Meats is ditching its Lower East Side location at Sauce and heading out to Bushwick.
