Caravan Palace are unlike any band we’ve heard this side of the Atlantic. Wikipedia describes them as a “French Electro swing and Gypsy Jazz band.” The plethora of genres that make up their unique sound is a mouthful, but one thing is for sure: Caravan Palace fuses them in the funnest way possible. Their sound is joyous; screaming pianos race against violins atop dance floor beats, voxcoated vocals that mesmerize. Live,  the passion oozing from the 8-piece infects the crowd with a francophile frenzy; I may have never danced so hard during a set in my life. Check them out next week at Best Buy Theater before them embark on an April US tour.
