A delicious new pop up hit the Brooklyn food scene this fall: Bird's Eye Vietnamese, a street food pop-up with connections to Bushwick's Lucy's Vietnamese Kitchen!

These days, you can enjoy Bird's Eye Vietnamese eats at the Brooklyn Flea's Winter Flea + Smorgasburg, at 1 Hanson Place near Atlantic Terminal on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m..

The team at Bird's Eye Vietnamese are all American-born Vietnamese and come from New York, Virginia, and Texas.

"We're a product of what our parents brought with them from Vietnam," proclaims co-owner Nam Phan.

Phan, who joins forces with Lucy's manager Quan Ngo in this endeavor, most recently worked at Williamsburg's slow smoked Texas style brisket pop-up Lonestar Empire, and explains that Bird's Eye Vietnamese is a truly cooperative, culinary marriage.

"Bird's Eye Vietnamese is a new Vietnamese food project, trying to share lesser known Vietnamese dishes that we grew up eating that haven't been exposed to NYC diners yet," Phan elaborates.

Unlike Lucy's, which is appointed with a single table for devouring pho and banh mi, Bird's Eye Vietnamese hones in on Phở Gà Khô ($11), a broth-on-the-side chicken noodle pho, as well as Cơm Gà ($11), a Vietnamese chicken rice dish.

You can also just get Canh, a chicken broth soup with charred aromatics, for only $4. They also offer Cà phê sữa đá, a cold brew Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, for $4.

So, Bushwick, if you love Vietnamese food, definitely make a stop at Bird's Eye Vietnamese!
