Do You Think the NYPD Should Wear Body Cameras? It's Your Final Week to Say So

The NYPD and the Policing Project at New York University's School of Law want to know whether the public thinks the city's police officers should have body cameras.

At the end of June, The New York City Police Department released a questionnaire asking city residents to give them input about whether the force's officers should wear body cameras on duty. Several hot weeks and many high profile, nationally noted police shootings later, the questionnaire period is about to end. So…what do you think?

The questionnaire, presented with the support of the Policing Project at New York University's School of Law, can be done in under ten minutes and is completely anonymous. The format includes both questions with easily quantifiable answer fields (think "on a scale of one to ten") and fields for respondents to write out their thoughts about the issue.

The questionnaire remains open until this coming Sunday, July 31st, so if you haven't gotten to it yet but have been meaning to give it a look, now's your chance.

The questionnaire is available online and for download in eight different languages here.
