A man was stabbed twice in the neck and slashed on the right hand with a pocket knife on an M train at Myrtle Ave-Broadway late, Wednesday night, police say.

Officials tell Bushwick Daily that the victim, a 33 year old male, was attacked in the last car of an M train approaching Myrtle-Broadway shortly before 11:15pm.

The suspect, a 27 year old male known to the victim, committed the assault with a pocket knife after an argument developed between them, according to police.

Officials say that NYPD Transit district 33 responded to the incident and apprehended the suspect at the same subway stop several hours later at approximately 2am. No weapon was recovered.

The victim was received as a walk-in at Woodhull hospital, where police say he is in stable condition.

Charges against the suspect are pending. The New York Daily News reports that the suspect is believed to be homeless.
