ISCP Open Studios

June gave us Bushwick Open Studios, October gave us Greenpoint and Gowanus Open Studios, and now November will usher in ISCP Fall Open Studios.

If you have ever come across The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) building while walking along Metropolitan Ave and wondered about the artists and their works that are inside—this is your lucky day (well, weekend). This Friday, November 7th through Sunday, November 9th, ISCP resident artists are opening their doors to the public as a part of ISCP’s Fall Open Studios. Fall Open Studios will grant the public access to 34 artists and curators from 22 countries, who are currently in residence at ISCP. Visitors will get to meet and converse with international artists, view their artworks in its native setting and finally get to see what is hidden inside those walls. If you are a curious art creeper like me, you know how exciting open studios can be!

In conjunction with open studios and through January 30, 2015, ISCP will also present the exhibition New York Stories: Twenty Years of ISCP. The exhibition, which was developed as part of ISCP’s 20th anniversary, will include work from 17 of the program’s alumni.

ISCP Fall Open Studios will take place Fri Nov. 7th (6-9pm). Sat. Nov. 8th (1-6pm) and Sun. Nov. 9th (1-6pm). The opening reception for New York Stories: Twenty Years of ISCP will be Fri. Nov. 7th (6-9pm).
