For this St. Patrick’s Day week, we’ve got five cool events that we’ve curated just for you, Bushwick. Unlike many events pages on other sites, these are actually fun.

Snap some pics at one of the events below and tag Bushwick Daily on Instagram to have your work included in our weekly photo roundup on Friday. We want to see how awesome your life is!

Tuesday: Movie night

8:30-12:59 p.m. at Sunrise/Sunset, 351 Evergreen Ave.

Watch “Space Jam” and “Coming to America” during this intimate night at a local bar setting. Beers on tap, biodynamic wines, and small-batch spirits available. Dinner menu served until 11 p.m. No cover!

Wednesday: Stand-up Comedy

8 p.m. at Mad Tropical, 236 Troutman St.

Slick Comedy hosts a night of smooth and sultry stand-up comedy, storytelling, and music from comedians around the NYC area.

Thursday: New Moon Circle

7:30-9:30 p.m. at Cult Party, 53 Waterbury St.

Cult Party invites you to create sacred space and cast the new-moon circle. Here are some buzzwords included in their event listing: Smudge/rattling, Reading/meditation, moon talk/support activity, Chant/sing/check-out. If those words mean things to you, then you should check this out. $20-suggested donation.

Friday: Women’s Self-Defense Class

7-10 p.m. at Okinawan Karate (basement of the McKibbin Lofts),248 McKibbin St.

Learn effective self-defense techniques to escape a violent altercation, and discuss how to reduce your chances of getting into one. You’ll discuss everything from stranger violence to domestic violence. The classes are free, open to the public, trans-inclusive, and taught by women and queer folks.  No previous experience necessary.

Sunday: Last of the Bohemians

8-11:30 p.m. at The Footlight, 465 Seneca Ave.

This is another new-moon experience where creative people come together to share their art, energy, and cleanse their minds to set new intentions. This night will be a mystical experience curated by “Matron of the Arts” Laura Bridget Regan and her friends. This Celtic Edition will provide an alternative to your typical St. Patrick’s revelry. Nevertheless, the event is sponsored by Prizefight Irish Whiskey.
