Don't be surprised to see Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, or Joe Pesci hanging around a Ridgewood corner this afternoon.

Today, the block near the Woodward and Catalpa Avenue intersection becomes the set once again for Martin Scorsese's upcoming movie "The Irishman," a biographical crime film starring the high-profile triumvirate of Hollywood's favorite gangsters.

According to an Instagram post by Ridgewood Social, one scene takes place at the Karavan International Foods deli, which has been made over with old-school bodega awnings and advertisements.

The flick follows the recollections of the alleged assassin (Robert De Niro) of Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino), a labor union leader who disappeared in 1975 and was never found. Other notables in the film include Harvey Keitel and Ray Romano.

Back in September, we reported that the high-profile cast and its director had come to Onderdonk and Catalpa Avenues to shoot some scenes for the film before moving on to other locations.

The film is slated to be released by Netflix sometime in 2019.
