Merry and Bright in Bushwick: Shop These 15 Amazing Holiday Pop Ups For Perfect Locally Made Gifts!

This holiday season, you can get all of your gifts from local makers!

The holidays are all about visiting with family and friends and handing over beautifully-wrapped curiosities. The holidays in Bushwick are also about supporting the hundreds of artists who live among us. If there's a testament to the sheer number of beautiful gift-worthy things Bushwickians make every day, it's these 15 holiday markets. We dare you to try to get to them all!

 Full Moon Market at Catland Books
  December 10, 11, 17, 18 1-6 p.m.

This magickal holiday market features different vendors everyday. So if your list of crystal, candle, and tarot loving friends is long, you might be spending two weekends scoping out everything you need to check items off that list.

 The Holidaze! Vegan Shop-Up at Pine Box Rock Shop
December 3 12-5 p.m.

This market is all about vegan fare, whether it's snacks or skincare. As always, you'll be able to indulge in one of Pine Box's bloody marys as you browse this dynamite selection of ethical goods.

 Holiday Market at Daya Yoga Studio
December 17 10 a.m.-1o p.m.//December 18 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Not only will you be able to find a whole plethora of gift options from jewelry to ceramics to dream catchers, you'll also get to hear free live music starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday from Carissa Mastushima and Forro in the Dark. This one is equal parts party and market!

 Holiday Market at Greenpoint Loft 
December 11 1-7 p.m.

While you'll have to take the G to get to this particular market, the trip to visit the stunning Greenpoint Loft will make it worth your while. The theme is tropical and harks back to those summery, sunny months. There's even a tropical photo booth for shopping breaks.

 Ridgewood Market Holiday Bazaar at Gottscheer Hall 
December 11 11 a.m. -5 p.m.//December 17 5-11 p.m.

Ridgewood Market runs for the majority of the year, but this special holiday edition will feature new vendors and a raffle. One of the prizes will be a major gift basket with prizes from the vendors themselves.

 Roberta's Holiday Market
December 9 6-10 p.m.//December 10 12- 10 p.m.//December 11 12-7 p.m.

This annual affair lets you shop the wares of over 25 vendors, and on Sunday, check out the back tent for live music. They are also promising some hot toddies.

 Bushwick Vendor's Market at Silent Barn
December 18 1-6 P.M.

Silent Barn's entry into the holiday fray is one day only. The event organizers promise unique, one of a kind gifts. As with all things Silent Barn, expect an eclectic mix of items.

 AWESOMETOWN at The Well,
Every Saturday and Sunday until the weekend before Christmas

AWESOMETOWN is a brand new event in The Well's enormous backyard. The events organizers are promising handmade and vintage finds, music, and 80s movie screened inside for when your feet need a rest. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a sexy Santa wandering around.

 Grand Wonderland at Pie Smith
December 3 1-4 p.m.

This is the kid-friendly kick off party for the Grand Street BID's annual window decoration contest. Key attractions are pizza, face-painting, and a Santa Claus. Partygoers will be able to pick up a voting passport and walk down Grand Avenue through a winter-wonderland decorated by local artists and high school students.

 All Things 420 Holiday Pop Up Shop at 174 Bogart Street, #316 
All month, 12-8 p.m.

For a decidedly not kid-friendly alternative, visit the I Bud You holiday pop-up to snag any number of 420-themed accessories. It is open every day until Christmas Eve, in case you're leaving all of your gift shopping til the last minute

 Mamas Bazaar Holiday Market at House of Yes 
December 17, 18 11-5 p.m.

This glitzy holiday market features henna tattoos, tarot card readings, and a midday happy hour to put you in the holiday spirit. Vendors will also be on hand in order to help you find the perfect something for loved ones both near and far.

 Bulletin Holiday Market at The William Vale Hotel
December 3, 4, 10, 11 1-9 p.m.

While not in Bushwick or Ridgewood, this event features work from multiple Bushwick-based designers including Most Recklessly, Ectoplasmic Prints, Kaya Clouds, and Five and Six Textiles. It also allows you to see the inside of the brand new William Vale Hotel. Don't act like you're not curious. An RSVP is required, but entry is free.

 The Empress of Style: Wear Fashion & Consciousness Unite Holiday Pop up, Mix It Up & Shop Experience at Worship,
December 10 6-9 p.m.

The party hosted by The Empress of Style, Angela M. Fludd at vintage haunt Worship is all about elevating your own style during a night of mingling and music provided by Marshall York.

 Deck The Walls at The Living Gallery,
December 11 3-9 p.m.

The Living Gallery has no shortage of exciting events monthly, so it should be no surprise they are also getting into the holiday spirit with a holiday fair dedicated to the kind of artwork that belongs on your walls featuring Andy Vasquez, Dylan Goldberger, and Goners, to name a few.

 Not Your Mom's Holiday Market at Vital Joint
 December 3 6-9 p.m. with a party after

Reminding us what all of these markets are really about-avoiding the rampant consumerism of Black Friday-this particular iteration promises "booze, music, and a good time." Local artists will be on hand to help you fill those goodie bags.

 The 3rd Annual Schwick Holiday Market @ 395 Johnson Avenue
 December 3, 4 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

One of Bushwick's first makers' markets has transitioned from a permanent space down the street from Little Skips into special events held in different locations. This holiday market promises to be a big one. More than 120 artists of all stripes will showcase their work.

 Honey's Holiday Fair
 December 10, 12- 7 p.m.

The big draw of this particular market at the fairly new Enlightenment Wines tasting room is the booze of course. Cider, vermouth, spirits, and meads from local producers would make great gifts for anyone.
