The international Breaking Bad inspired coffee company that announced plans to open in Brooklyn over a year ago has finally found its home in the borough, and it’s going to be right in the heart of Bushwick!

Meanwhile in Brooklyn, NY #walterscoffee opening this Summer (hopefully we will be all set end of June) ☕️

Walter’s Coffee, which opened its first location in Istanbul a little over a year ago, always planned to be open in Kings County. Walter’s founder Deniz Kosan tells Bushwick Daily that he spent more than two years looking for the right spot, and had originally hoped to open in Williamsburg, but eventually decided on a spot in Bushwick due to two main factors. The first? “The people are cool.” The second? The coming Lpocalypse: Kosan wanted a location that will be near train lines other than the L. “I can’t afford the revenue losses,” explains Kosan. “Coffee roasteries are a big investment!”

Walter’s is planning to open up at 65 Irving Avenue, on the corner of Irving and Starr across the street from Maria Hernandez Park, the address which used to house the long gone, beloved neighborhood joint Three Angels by the Park.

The shop should be in soft open by the end of June of this year, and Kosan projects that the business will be fully operational by the end of the summer.

See you there, Breaking Bad enthusiasts!
