#8 All Day I Dream of the Secret Mirage @ Brooklyn Mirage, 99 Scott Ave, East Williamsburg (SUN  2PM, $35-45)

Did you hear about the illusive pop up venue Brooklyn Mirage, which is rumored to have a capacity of 10,000 people, and is hosting the best raves all summer long before floating away in fall? No? Well, here’s a chance to go check it out during a day dance party…if you can afford it.

#7 PAT, Bottoms @ Union Pool, 484 Union Ave, Williamsburg (SAT 8pm, $FREE)

Who is PAT? Who are Bottoms? Who gives a fuck, really. It’s SUMMER THUNDER at Union Pool with a free show at one of the best backyard parties in all of Brooklyn. And that’s all that matters.

Oh man, another great free Celebrate Brooklyn! concert in the ever-beautiful Prospect Park bandshell. This Saturday brings the ideal pairing of Canadian rockers The New Pornographers & VA-based blues rockers, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down.

Gender is over, let’s shed our sexual identities, leave them at the door, and get weird to some punk (Slothrust) and gay glam pop punk (PWR BTTM).

#4 Space Camp @ Trans-Pecos, 905 Wyckoff Ave, Ridgewood (SAT 4PM, $25/30)

Brooklyn’s own Astro Nautico is taking over Trans-Pecos for Space Camp: a five year anniversary party and ten-hour marathon concert featuring three stages and a whole lot of bass!

#3 4knots Festival with Meatbodies, Happyness, Super Furry Animals, Stephen Malkmus + much more @ Pier 84 , Manhattan (SAT ALL DAY, $25)

Yes, it got moved to Midtown’s west side, and NO, it’s not free anymore but you should still totally go to this year’s awesomely-curated 4knots Festival. I mean. The lineup. Is. Insane. Our call? Get there at 2:05 for Meatbodies and stay all the way until Super Furry Animals strike their last note around 8:30.

#2 Buscabulla, Empress Of, Los Walters, Triangulo de Amor Bizarro @ Baby’s All Right, 146 Broadway, Bushwick (FRI 12am, $10)

Gabo Rodrigues, of Supercrush studio’s and Ridgewood’s upcoming music venue Footlight hails from Puerto Rico and this Friday is bringing some latin flair to Brooklyn with his “Solo Dame Indie Pop!” series. The highlight comes Friday night (at midnight!) with the sultry experimental jams of Buscabulla and wizardly electronics of Empress Of.
